The Tales of Our Childhood Come to the Castle

The Château-Musée de Saumur offers an enchanting Christmas experience, aglow with a thousand lights. Six exceptional and magnificently decorated scenes invite you on a magical stroll through the fairy tales of our childhood…

AN ENCHANTED CASTLE

Suitable for all ages

Snow White, Donkey Skin, Puss in Boots and many others step out of the pages of our childhood storybooks to spend the Christmas holidays at the Château. Marvel at the new Christmas decorations, featuring costumes and lights, and immerse yourself in these enchanted scenes.

From 6 December on the first floor of the château

THE FAIRY TALES OF OUR CHILDHOOD - EVENING EVENT

Entertainment for all ages

What if the characters from fairy tales came to life to sweep you away into the most memorable scenes… Would you care for a waltz with Belle? Could you resist the temptation to take a bite of the apple? Would you dare cross swords with a cheeky feline? Through mime, dance or storytelling, certain decorated scenes come to life for the whole family to enjoy.

Saturday 20, Sunday 21, Tuesday 23, Friday 26, Saturday 27, Sunday 28 and Tuesday 30 December at 6pm

Storytelling performance: 30 minutes
Have your photo taken with the characters from the stories after the performance! Self-guided evening tours until 8pm. 

Paid event limited to 50 people – Full price €12, reduced price €9.50, free for under-7s

During the Christmas holidays, children can enjoy themed tours to discover the château while having fun! From 23 to 31 December 2025, the Château-Musée is offering workshops and activities for all ages.
