Concert of Persian Music and Poetry
With the group Bigaah – Ghazal Tahmasbi (vocals), Kamran Shirbacheh (santur), Kianoush Shirbacheh (kamancheh), Thomas Ghafouryan (percussions)

Bigaah’s music explores a shared memory between Iran and Afghanistan—two lands united by language, culture, and a history woven with both pain and beauty. The group draws inspiration from the deep well of Persian music and poetry. Vocalist Ghazal Tahmasbi brings poetic texts to life, carried by the alchemy of the musicians around her. Kamran Shirbacheh brings the santur to life with inspired hands, while the poignant tones of the kamancheh are embodied by Kianoush Shirbacheh. Thomas Ghafouryan infuses the ensemble with rhythm and breath through his percussion.
Bigaah offers a musical experience that is both authentic and contemporary, where the voices of those who create, resist, and pass on traditions come together.
